Ragamuffin

Overview

Often weighing between 18-20 lbs, Ragamuffin cats are the size of a small dog and some of the largest kitties around! They thrive on human companionship and may even go limp in your arms. Ragamuffins closely resemble the Ragdoll cat, whose mysterious origins include the Persian, Birman, Angora, and domestic longhairs. The way they differ from Ragdoll kitties is their coat. Ragamuffin kitties come in every color and pattern, unlike Ragdolls, who only have pointed coats. Like their Ragdoll cousins, the Ragamuffin is also born all white, and their coat color develops as they age. Their large walnut-shaped eyes can be of any color, unlike Ragdolls, who only have blue eyes. Their coat tends not to mat, so a weekly brushing will keep them looking great!
