Scottish Straight
Overview
Overview of Scottish Straight
The Scottish Breed Group consists of the Scottish Fold and the Scottish Straight - which both come in shorthair and longhair varieties. These kitties can be born in the same litter and are identical, except some kittens will have folded ears. All Scottish Fold kittens are born with straight ears, and if they carry the gene for the folded ears, their ears will begin to curl 18-24 days later. A Scottish Straight - a.k.a. a Scottish Fold with straight ears is just as cuddly and wonderful as their curled ear sibling! Scottish Straights come in a variety of colors and patterns with their most common eye color being copper. Just like their more popular siblings, Scottish Straight cats also have adorable round faces, round bodies, and round heads! The shorthaired variety requires grooming twice a week, and the longhaired variety could use a good brush out 3-4 times a week to remove loose hairs.

Personality
The Scottish Straight is an intelligent, loving companion with a curious mind. You could call them "four on the floor" kitties because they prefer to be close by with all four paws on the floor rather than being picked up and carried around. A Scottish Straight cat will follow you around from room to room and may even learn how to open cabinet doors or fetch! So if you're on the lookout for a super cute plush kitty with beautiful round eyes and a playful spirit, you might love a Scottish Straight!
