Overview

Built sturdy, long, and low, the Clumber Spaniel is the largest of the spaniels. Despite being the size and height of a medium-sized dog, their weight pushes them into the big dog category. Males can reach up to 85lbs! Once the mellow hunting companion of kings, Clumber Spaniels remain relatively rare these days. They get their name from the Duke of Newcastle's vast estate, Clumber Park, where these pups were famed to have originated from. Puppies are born completely white and develop their iconic orange or liver-colored markings at about three months old. Clumber Spaniels require regular brushing to keep the shedding down and their weatherproof coat looking great!
