Ibizan Hound
Overview
Also known as Beezers, the Ibizan Hound originated in Ibiza, in Spain’s Balearic Islands where they were used to hunt rabbits. They are very athletic and require a lot of exercise. They could easily jump five or six feet from a standing position. Beezers are an affectionate, playful and friendly breed and they will chase prey at every opportunity. They can steal food whenever and wherever they have a chance, and keeping an Ibizan Hound at an appropriate weight is the best way to extend their life. The breed comes in two coat types: smooth and wiry.
