Overview
Also known as the Irish Blue Terrier, the Kerry or simply the Blue- Kerry Blue Terriers originated in the mountainous regions of County Kerry in Ireland. They were originally bred as an all-purpose working farm dog, and used to hunt, herd and guard the home. Today they are alert, adaptable, and animated watchdogs and a great family companion. They are often used as police dogs in Ireland. Kerries are energetic and often rambunctious dogs who love to play hard. They can also be stubborn and persistent, but they are loving and loyal with their family.
