Norwegian Buhund
Overview
The Norwegian Buhund’s ancestry dates back to about 900 AD, when the skeletons of six dogs closely resembling Buhunds were found in a Viking grave in Norway. Also known as the Norwegian Sheepdog, Norsk Buhund or Nordiske Sitz-hunde, the Nowegian Buhund is a Nordic spitz-type is working breed expert at herding and guarding. Buhunds are smart, affectionate, cheerful, talkative and very active dogs that can work as a hearing assistance dog or as agility athletes.
