Overview
Wheaten Terriers are lively and happy dogs. They generally weigh between 30-40 pounds. Wheatens are hypoallergenic dogs and do not shed, making them ideal for people with allergies. They are very gentle and affectionate, though can be stubborn on occasion. They generally do well with other pets and domesticated dogs, so they are adaptable for family life. Due to their terrier-like instincts, the breed tends to jump and dig holes. They have moderate exercise requirements, and enjoy going for walks, hikes, or competing in agility.
