Whippet

Overview

Whippet

The elegant, yet powerful Whippet was originally bred in the late 18th century for hunters searching for rabbit and other small game. Like all sight hounds, they love to run and chase. Their thin coat comes in a variety of colors and patterns. Whippets are very gentle, affectionate, and love being around their family. Due to their thin skin and low body fat, ensure your Whippet has a nice, comfy bed to lay on. For cold weather walks, they will need a sweater to help keep them warm. They love to run full speed, and are content curling up beside you on the couch.
